Miguel began his photography journey watching his father print black & white photos in a tiny garage darkroom in the spring of 1979. Since then, Miguel has continued to explore various camera formats, film types, and darkroom printing techniques. Miguel started digital photography with the introduction of Photoshop in the late 80s.

Before you take a leap of faith, take the time to prepare for it. When I approach any shoot, I like to shoot dark to expose for the highlights. These brighter parts of the composition will have detail and I lighten the shadows to fit the look. This is an old film technique to have a deep exposure range.
